Bricks & Bindweed

Alice Chandler & Hannah Robson

Having a shared interest in bricks and urban plant life, Alice and Hannah explored the connections between brick walls and woven cloth, architecture and textiles, and the rich history of brick production in and around Leeds. Bindweed has been used as a metaphor for urban change in the industrial cities of West Yorkshire, as collective needs and priorities have shifted over time.
